Additional side view in Rescuesheets for buses
In the upcoming Crash Recovery System database update (May 2022), there will be a notable improvement to the CRS Rescuesheets for all new buses. It concerns an additional side view, namely the left side view of the bus.
By always being on the lookout for ways to improve the CRS and thus being able to provide an even better service to emergency responders, we discovered that in some cases the position of some components in existing buses’ Rescuesheets did not correspond exactly to their actual position in the bus itself.
For example, a component or safety device may appear to be on the right side of the bus when viewed from the right, while in practice it is on the left. To prevent this from happening in future, we have produced an attractive and effective solution: the inclusion of an extra side view in the vehicle drawing for the bus.
As a result, from now on there are not two (top and right side) but three views (including a left side view) in the CRS Rescuesheets for new buses. Furthermore, all buses added to the CRS will also be labelled with the new ISO symbols.
