CRS Preview: Rosenbauer RT Hybrid fire engine
With the revolutionary and progressive Rosenbauer RT Hybrid fire engine, most deployments in large cities can be carried out fully electrically and, therefore, emission-free. The batteries ensure that no fuel is burned while driving, and when the vehicle comes to a stop, the engine automatically shuts off. The RT Hybrid will soon be added to the Crash Recovery System database.
Innovation
For the RT (Revolutionary Technology), Rosenbauer’s developers not only improved what was already there but also rethought the entire fire engine concept. The goal was to envision the future of firefighting vehicles. And this goal was achieved: the groundbreaking innovations make the RT the world’s most modern emergency service vehicle.
CRS Rescue Sheet
After a test phase in which the Berlin Fire Brigade, Amsterdam Fire Brigade and the Dubai Civil Defence extensively tested the hybrid fire engine, series production began, and the RTs are now deployed in several locations. This prompted Moditech to complete the vehicle drawings and gather all safety information in order to include the Rescue Sheet of the RT Hybrid in one of the upcoming database updates in the short term.
