CRS Preview: New category for power boxes in the CRS
We are increasingly seeing powerful mobile electric power boxes used as a source of energy at zero-emission construction sites, for clean power at events or as mobile charging stations. In the event a power box catches fire, just as with vehicles, it is crucial to be able to act safely and efficiently using the right information. The Crash Recovery System provides first responders with that information.
New category
The power boxes of a Doosan electric excavator can already be found in the CRS, under ECE (Electric Construction Equipment) in the Special Vehicles and Construction Vehicles categories. But that’s going to change. In fact, mobile power boxes are going to have their own category within the CRS this year.
These and future power boxes, in addition to the manual selection process, can also be accessed by scanning a QR code, a very fast and effective way for first responders to obtain crucial vehicle information.
