ISO conformance of Crash Recovery System
The ISO-17840 standard for displaying safety symbols in vehicles is directly derived from the color codes and symbols of the Crash Recovery System. Moditech has been an active member of the ISO committee to establish an unambiguous way of displaying vehicle components in CRS.
We have therefore worked hard to implement new ISO symbols in the CRS database. Some existing symbols slightly differ from the new ISO standard and will therefore be replaced. Ofcourse, all newly added vehicles will contain the latest ISO symbols. The new symbols are available to users since the April 2022 CRS software update and the March 2022 Database Update. It concerns symbols for vehicles for almost all vehicle categories, including many symbols that are used in the rescuesheets of vehicles with an alternative propulsion.
