Sights set on an electric future
Achieving the climate targets set for the EU is high on the agenda, which means reducing emissions from cars and other traffic. The ban on new cars with combustion engines and the additional taxation of all petrol and diesel cars should contribute to this. All new cars must be zero-emission by 2035. The expectation is that there will already be 30 million electric cars on European roads by 2030.
Therefore, car manufacturers are focusing massively on an (almost) all-electric future, and some even stating that their last combustion engines are already made. But it’s not just cars; fully electric trucks, vans, motorbikes and vehicles for delivery services, for example, are also being produced at a rapid pace.
Crash Recovery System
At Moditech we naturally follow all developments closely to keep our database as extensive and varied as possible. After all, first responders are encountering more and more challenges with electrically driven vehicles.
For this reason, we were also present at the EV Experience at Circuit Zandvoort. Here we had the opportunity to see an exciting and diverse range of new and already existing electrically driven vehicles in action. In cooperation with the manufacturers and importers, we hope to add many of these vehicles to our CRS Database shortly.
