BMW CE 04 scooter new in the database.

Electric scooters and motorbikes have been very much on the rise in recent years but are not new to BMW. Indeed, the C Evolution made its debut as early as 2014. Back in 2017, images of concept versions of a new electric scooter were shared by BMW. The final production version, the CE 04, is unlike its predecessor. The new technology and futuristic-looking design make it a completely new model. Like the C Evolution earlier, we have now added the CE 04 to the CRS database in the Two-wheeler category.

Design
The futuristic design of the electric scooter is made possible by the flat battery in the bottom plate. Behind it, just in front of the rear wheel, is the compact electric motor. This motor has 42 hp and is exactly one-third the size of the electric motor of BMW’s X1 plug-in hybrid SUV. This shows the close collaboration between BMW Motorrad and BMW’s automotive division. The 8.9 kWh battery pack should be good for a driving range of around 110 km.
